Sounds like more money printing to come in Europe, as well as a likely Greek default of some sort. I've warned you to buckle down before, now is the time to double-check and make sure that the buckle is indeed working as it is supposed to. Check your portfolio, make sure that there is some physical gold and silver in there, and at the very least don't leave money in your savings account.

'Operation Twist' as it's called, looks more like a deflationary twister than anything else. The funny thing is, they still printed USD 400 Billion, and price deflation is still ruling the day. This just goes to show that monetary inflation, and price deflation CAN happen at the same time. It also shows how addicted the Western economies are to monetary stimulus, or inflation. Just imagine if Western Governments stopped printing money, things would turn sour even faster. But wait a minute, we're just putting off the inevitable.

I recently got a message from a Tea Party, asking me to call my state legislators to ask them four questions about illegal immigration. They are as follows:

1.      Do you support implementing State laws to curtail and discourage illegal immigration?

2.      Do you support implementing mandatory E-Verify statewide?  Read more about A Letter to the Tea Party

Gold and silver, especially silver, have really corrected since last week. These next few weeks should be a great opportunity to load up before they move higher. Here's a quote from John Hathaway's recent interview with KWN: Read more about Buying You Time, To Buy Silver

Looks like that boring slow motion car crash got a little more interesting. Hold on for a rough ride from here on out. With stocks tanking and taking commodities as well as gold and silver along, where is the money going to? Why USDs and USD denominated debt, aka bonds. Know that this is the final major rally in the US bond market. After this final push, the bubble will be at its peak and ready to burst. Give it a few months and this bubble is done for. The Great Deception

Judge Andrew Napolitano is fond of saying that the U.S. doesn't have a two-party system. He says there is one party, the Big Government Party, with a Republican version and a Democrat version. The former likes deficits and wars, the latter likes taxes and welfare. I would agree that this is a pretty accurate description of political affairs. The tragic part is that this is generally not understood. The facade is that there is a major difference between them. I call this the Great Deception. Read more about The Great Deception

Recently, this saying was recited in the Sovereign Man newsletter:

'If you're not a socialist by the time you're 20, you have no heart. If you're still one by the time you're 30, you have no brain.'

But is this actually the case? Is socialism a noble idea?

What makes it different from other visions of social order? It surely does not have the sole claim to wanting everyone to have a decent standard of living. I would imagine that most people want their fellow man to be able to live comfortably (though they will differ in how this should be achieved). Read more about Is Socialism a Noble Idea?

This is a dark story but it is the type of story that everyone should be aware of. The War on Terror is not a war against violence. It is a War on Freedom, a war of violence against those who wish nothing but to be left alone.

If you know you are facing a stronger opponent in a war, perhaps it is smart to avoid a fight? The Western Military-Industrial-Complex is the only army worth mentioning. No force exists that can match it in terms of force. So how do you beat it without getting beat up by it first?
